About

My name is Mark Voce and I’m a fine art photographer based in West Yorkshire in the North of England. I focus on landscape, architecture and night photography, shoot both in colour and black & white and work with digital and film cameras.

I have had work published in various magazines both in the UK and across Europe; I have sold prints across the world and have won accolades in international competitions. I also lecture on landscape and night photography to photographic societies and camera clubs here in the north of England and have recently self published my first book.

Since I first picked up a camera about six years ago I have spent the vast majority of my time photographing out and about in the landscape, I may have dabbled with some portraits, wildlife and still life in my earlier days but my heart always belonged to the landscape. Whether awe-inspiring mountain ranges, dramatic coastlines, rolling fields and dales or more recently the urban sprawl and industrial wastelands this is where I call my home from a photography point of view anyway.

My Gear

While I am a firm believer that it is the photographer not the camera that makes a great shot I understand it is always nice to know what other people use so therefore I thought I would give you a quick run down of my photographic gear.

My digital kit comprises of a Canon 5D MkII DSLR, Canon 17-40mm F4 L Lens and Canon 24mm f3.5 TS-E II L lens, oh and a couple of Nikon primes with Canon adaptors that are great for night photography.

On the film front I own a Shenhao 4×5 Large Format View Camera with 65mm, 90mm and 150mm lenses plus a series of toy cameras including a Lubitel 166B, a Holga, a Diana + and a Zero Image pinhole camera.
